Senate confirms Wormuth as first female Army secretary — for real this time

Christine Wormuth, President Joe Biden's nominee to be the Army's top civilian leader, appeared to get the Senate's stamp of approval Wednesday night. Then the Senate took it back.

The procedural snafu means Wormuth, who would be the first female Army secretary, will have to wait at least a little longer to get on the job.
