My wife put her hair up like the lady on the top right when she went to the gym.

The article includes information about new approved hairstyles under changes to Army Regulation 670-1. I'm referring PowerPoint slide in the article where it is written that it recommends "altering/removing verbiage on dimensions" in natural hairstyles (braids, cornrows, twists and locs). Locs is added haphazardly, which puts the Army's acceptance of them in doubt. I will assume it is an error because I'm in favor of locs if their appearance is regulated and their maintenance requirements are met.
Will the loosening of the dimensions requirement lead to unkempt appearances or will it give Soldiers more flexibility as long as they keep their natural hairstyles looking professional?
