Thank you for the history of a gallant soldier. I did not know he was that entrenched in the Continental Army.

Thanks for posting SGT (Join to see). I remember reading this very same article in the past, and thought it was excellent. Good to have found it again. I had not known how well thought of and loved Lafayette was in America. There are numerous towns and cities by the name of LaFayette.
FYI - just now did a search for the number of cities and found a more extensive list.
