Hyperdrive in Real Life | Unveiled

I've posted several science videos regarding Warp Drives, and Speed of Light travel... But why is this speed necessary? The answer is relatively simple..., but the reality is that we are still a long way away from anything close to Light Speed...

Our nearest star system is the Alpha Centauri system comprised of a Binary Star system and a third star, Proxima Centauri, a small but important star with a planet (Proxima B) within the habitable zone or the zone where water may reside as a liquid..

This star system is 4.2 light years away and that means that its distance away from us is the distance light would travel in 4.2 years or "a measurement of distance and not time (as the name might suggest). A light-year is the distance a beam of light travels in a single Earth year, or 6 trillion miles (9.7 trillion kilometers)... A spacecraft moving at a relatively high speed (today's technology) is about 7.9 kilometers per second and it would take somewhere in the vicinity of 70 years to reach Proxima B..., so it is virtually impossible with today's technology...
