On 2012 Vidal Sassoon, British-American hair stylist and CEO of Vidal Sasson, died of leukemia at the age of 84. An anti-Fascist, strong advocate for Israel, and humanitarian who fought against antisemitism and Holocaust deniers, often spoke about his Jewish heritage. I briefly met him at at Kent State University during the annual Holocaust Conference.
