I was only 8 so don't remember but recall all the hype about breaking his record in subsequent years.

Thanks for the share SGT David Reynolds. I used to run a lot in the Corps and dreamed about breaking the four minute mile. The fastest I ever clocked myself was right at 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Never could get it any faster.
