He "cried out to his mother" or, according to his girlfriend, called out for his girlfriend who he affectionately called mama.
"Inflicted gratuitous pain" -- well, inflicted discomfort in a way that Mr. Floyd specifically requested, refusing to get in the squad car and saying he preferred they make him lay down on the ground.
"Exclaimed that he could not breathe" should speak for itself, but for those who don't get basic physics and basic human anatomy, yelling and speech are done by drawing air into your lungs and then pushing it out (forcefully) over your vocal cords while they vibrate. You can speak once or twice without breathing, no more. OTOH, if your lungs aren't absorbing oxygen because of the massive overdose of narcotics you just ingested or your heart isn't circulating the oxygen because of the damage you have done to it over the years of drug abuse, combine with the position and with your obesity, it feels just like you can't breathe.

It doesn't matter, thoiugh. Most of you who think Mr. Chauvin should be whipped and strung up had made that decision while watching the limited bystander footage of the incident. The Judge allowed evidence in that shouldn't have been allowed in, excluded evidence that should have been allowed and denied basic civil rights when the State used blatantly illegal and immoral tactics in direct opposition to his stated orders. You can decide for yourself why he did so; I tend to think it was self-preservation.

At least one juror lied to get on the jury and went in with the clear intent to convict. At least one of the jurors was intimidated by the fact that jurors had basically already been doxed by the local media and by little things like activists throwing pigs' heads at the (former) home of one of the defense witnesses, and the jury was not sequestered when local activists said the riots would continue and intensify if the verdict was anything by guilty on all counts -- and of course we had a certain congress critter (Maxine Waters) who said that even if he was convicted of what he was charged with, it wasn't enough and he had to be found guilty of murder (which he was not charged with) or the violence should escalate.

And of course we had the witness in the crowd, a bouncer and MMA fighter, who claimed they weren't being threatening when they called the officer a "Pussy-ass bitch" and said they would slap the shit out of him... they were just being professional. Totally believable.

And there is the undisputed fact that Chauvin did call the EMTs -- twice. The second time, he was asking why the medics weren't there yet. Meanwhile, the woman who was a first-year EMT or some such wanted to push her way into the scene, but had *no* ID with her or uniform. I am sure that would end well if it turned out she really wasn't a medic.

But yes, howl for blood. Gather your torches and your pitchforks. Bring back that fine old Democrat tradition, but I am not going to provide the rope for you.
