Trump was the ultimate Alpha Male who changed the face of politics with his extreme toxic leadership. Trump made it an imperative to attack anyone or anything he deemed remotely a threat to him. He also attacked due to the whims of his irrational thinking. An example is he called Puerto Ricans dirty and poor after the Hurricane hit the island. He also wanted to flex his power as he attacked military generals and the courts. He was not a consensus builder, he was divisive. His multitudes of attacks increased the hate in the country, and he tricked many supporters with his infinite lies. Hate became an integral leadership style. He was that Alpha Male chimp that attacked another group of chimps. Unfortunately the GOP followed the Alpha Male chimp to be relevant in his much distasteful political world. The GOP molded itself in Trump's image. The GOP lost its soul when Trump was president and it became morally rudderless.

SFC James Welch - 138 cops sustained injuries as they were beaten with flag poles, baseball bats, other items. Some were beaten unconcious. Two cops committed suicide soon after the Capitol Building attack. You don't see the connection?
