Good run down of the past history of the light tank. We have been in need of one for decades now - as we have used Bradley's and even Strykers in the role a light tank should be included in. When the last one was cancelled - the void only grew larger and the need greater.

I have an old GTA at home with all the tanks that the United States has used up to the M60A3, I forget to get the updated one before I retired LTC Eric Udouj

The Norwegians kept M-24s on until the 90s and developed some HESH round that made them viable against T-72 and such. They finally wore out
