The authorities will go to a higher lock down posture if the numbers increase too much too fast. We just world allowed to go back into dining at 50% capacity 6 weeks ago and we could go back to take out only if it gets or maintains at a high infection rate. Provinces have their own health minister that reports the daily kovid infection rate and the daily Intensive care unit bed usage. Everyone is required to wear a mask indoors in a business or apartment.

SPC Cody Verba - There are a lot of people who refuse to take the vaccine. Some states are starting to relax social distancing and mask wearing. The virus is mutating. The VA is looking at a study to see how long the vaccine is effective for.

The differences are significant. I know Japan planned and execute much earlier than the US. Japan told its people if they were sick to come in and get tested immediately then they did contact tracing. The Japanese universally adopted wearing masks and generally followed the governments instructions to avoid public areas if it is possible.

Trump stopped some air travel into the US. The US started badly by developing faulty tests then had to develope tests that worked. FEMA was told to start pandemic planning on March 13, 2020. Trump pushed hard to open up states with no emphasis on safe protocols.

FEMA was given the mission to conduct federal pandemic planning on March 13, 2020 which means there was no federal plan prior to that. How does the federal government support the states, and how do states fit into the federal plan when there is no federal plan? What we had was a void while Trump kept telling us we were safe from COVID for weeks.
