Two Republican congresswomen are revoking their endorsements of Texas GOP congressional candidate Sery Kim after she said that she didn't want potential Chinese immigrants in the United States.
"As the first Korean American Republican women to serve in Congress, we want to empower and lift up fellow members of the (Asian American and Pacific Islander) community who want to serve their communities," California Reps. Young Kim and Michelle Steel said in a statement. "We talked with Sery Kim yesterday about her hurtful and untrue comments about Chinese immigrants, and made clear that her comments were unacceptable."
During a candidate forum on Wednesday hosted by two Republican groups in Texas' 6th Congressional District, Kim responded to a question about the US' immigration crisis by saying "I don't want them here at all," referring to potential Chinese immigrants.
"They steal our intellectual property, they give us coronavirus, they don't hold themselves accountable," she continued, adding that, "I can say that because I'm Korean."

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - has she suffered an attack or threat? If so, I truly am sympathetic to her situation. My comment was not directed to any particular ethnic group, rather everyone. People get offended at the silliest things. Yes, there are things that are troubling, but I honestly believe that the way folks loudly complain about being offended by many things that are not significant, causes an unnecessary elevation of violent acts or threats.

PO1 H Gene Lawrence - verbal casualty but no attacks. In the case in the OP is was something that is significant. Because it is an Asian feeding anti-Asian bigotry. Not to mention the fact that most Americans can not tell a Korean from A Chinese or a Thai so the hate gets spread to any Asian they meet. My wife is subject to verbal abuse because she is tiny and in her sixties. By the way Chinese immigrants have fought in the US military since the 19th Century,

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I have Asians in my family and I also worked for many when I was involved in a Christian ministry at the Port of Tacoma, WA. I must admit that it was a bit challenging at first to distinguish one from the other.
