This poll, like all polls, will be ignored and even challenged by the right. They only agree with polls that support their agenda. Others they call fake.

The poll is deeply flawed in that it took a much greater sample from Democrats than Republicans. I cannot tell you how much, because they intentionally do not disclose those numbers, but when you look at many of the issues, Democrats numbers are enough to significantly raise both Independent and Republican numbers to an average much closer to the Democratic number than can be expected based on the Independent and Republican numbers.

Additionally, the poll is deeply flawed in the questions it asked. There is a large difference between asking if a person supports an issue, such as "no excuse" mail-in balloting and asking is a person supports MANDATORY federal requirements for all states to enact such policies.

I am very strongly conservative, but even then I can support - or at least accept - almost all of the concepts in HR1. I cannot support HR1 in even the slightest capacity because it is federal overreach and violates the Constitution.

Yet this poll, designed to show that Americans support HR1 - and doing so by polling a larger number of Democrats than Republicans - is flawed in its methodology.

And yes MSG Stan Hutchison I AM challenging the poll. Because it was poorly constructed and executed. I do a lot of work looking at research studies, and the very FIRST thing I look at is sampling. This poll failed in its sampling. The SECOND thing I look at is study design. And this poll failed in its design, as well. It introduced bias into the questions, AND it failed to accurately test the relevant question of support for HR1 in whole or in part.

All that being said, as I mentioned above, I can support - or at least accept - almost everything in HR1. As long as it is enacted at the state level, where it Constitutionally is required to be enacted.
