Residual Water Ice captured on Mars by NASA's Reconnaissance Orbiter

All the images we have seen in recent days show a desolate rock strewn barren desert like landscape, but what you don't see is the areas that show a different view and something you might not expect! Water Ice!!! This video was taken by NASA's Reconnaissance Orbiter and shows us another perspective of an otherwise barren planet...

I hope you enjoy the scenery! Pay close attention to the craters shown with WATER ICE at the bottom of the crater's bowl... This can be processed into drinking water, irrigation water, Oxygen for breathing in a closed/sealed habitat, and Hydrogen and Oxygen for fuelling return trips to Earth... Dry ice can be processed into other components as well...
