US F-35 Pilot Performs Insane Vertical Take Off

Good Wednesday Morning Brothers and Sisters... Today I bring you an interesting video, which contains several segments... All are very interesting to say the least, but the 1st one is what drew me to the video at the get go! Watching this F-35 segment with a vertical take 43" TV/Monitor wall mounted over my computer that I am going to watch this on! I used my 24" for the preview, but the larger will really enhance it!!! I just turned it on and am about to drag my Browser window up to my 43", which is about 18" diagonally up from my eyeballs! LOL!
The other segments are very good as well and I urge you all to stick with it for the other 3-segments...

Thanks Kerry. I watched these at Nellis daily while we were out there and travelled to the Nellis airshow to watch their demo flights. An amazing aircraft.

Many of the high performance aircraft are pretty impressive on that sort of vertical takeoff maybe even more so now that the don't even need much runway to do so. I had watched a B1 "Lancer" bomber go vertical from level flight at an airshow at Westover ARB, MA an few years ago and appeared to punch a hole in the clouds as it rose into vertical flight.

Loved doing things like that. Never did in B-1 but many times in FB-111.

MSgt Robert "Rock" Aldi It was primarily for speed, sweeping the wings aft reduced drag as speed increased and gave the benefit of a delta wing design. We've had Marine F-35s deployed to MacDill for several weeks. They're scheduled to leave today or tomorrow and wouldn't be surprised to see a departure like that.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case here, I do know We enjoyed seeing the displays and in both cases it was pretty impressive.
