In my 22 years in the Marine Corps, I have seen many stragglers. As a Gunnery Sergeant I usually stayed with the run drops and encouraged them to continue to persevere. But many were not of strong character. After a while of being thoroughly disgusted with one repeat drop out, I made the mistake of threatening to drag him into the tree line and leave his body there, like the enemy would. Needless to say, I was no longer required or asked to encourage the run drops.

I’m Italian. I grew up talking with my hands. In basic, my training instructor threatened to rip my arms off and beat me with them if I couldn’t keep them pinned to my sides while at attention. I learned to do it the right way.

Well you wouldn’t want to come to a TEAMSTER dock if salty talk upsets you.

Profanity, yes I counted 7 f-bombs in a three sentences while the TSgt was teaching a class. And while it was not cussing telling married trainees that their wives were being unfaithful is pretty rough.
