unless she was actually under arrest when she was questioned, then Miranda rights do not apply. If she was simply brought in for questioning, then the confession will stick.

SSG Robert Perrotto - Willing or unwilling, going with them is still custody. Does not mean arrest by default. The article says she was interrogated versus simply questioned.

SSG Brian G. - I am not trying to insult you, so please do not take in that manner, but journalistic word choices are tools of public manipulation. Asking someone where they were and with who can be presented as an "interrogation". Case in point, undocumented immigrants and illegal aliens are the same thing, but each presents the issue in a different manner, and light, depending upon the intentions of the journalist.
