Bad idea. Those benefits were earned. If they can strip them for reasons after reading fact, they can strip anyone's for any reason.

Whether anyone agrees with anything done on that day by the protestors doesn’t matter. This sets up a slippery slope. You take their benefits away then you open the door to take benefits away from anyone incarcerated or charged with a crime. Let the justice system do their thing and leave the benefits out of it.

Negative. They are reduced while incarcerated and then reinstated once released. What this lawmaker is wanting to do is remove all benefits permanently from these folks before they have even been tried. That should worry people. SGT (Join to see)

MAJ (Join to see) - actually we are both correct. If you are receiving a VA pension you loose it on day 61 if I remember correctly. Service connected disability greater then 20% is reduced to 10% and a SC disability less than 20% is reduced in half.

But can be reinstated when you leave jail. Often times due to prison healthcare veterans also go up in service connection percentage after incarceration.
