One of the problems with a traumatic event like rape, physical assault etc is it alters people. Did James change as a result? In no way is it James fault but did her performance actually change? I watched an interview with Mike Tyson and was very impressed by how much Cus D’Amato mentored and helped Tyson. When asked how he dealt with losing he said D’Amato told him it wasn’t personal. Move on if you lose. I don’t think Rape can be shrugged off. I am not excusing the rape etc.

I would never use Mike Tyson when you're talking about rape/sexual assault. Just saying...

Also - people can learn to deal with the trauma of rape yes. It doesn't make it right - and it doesn't make retaliation ok.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - You miss my point. Was James performance effected by her rape? Were her performance evaluations accurate? Did she get counseling to deal with the trauma effectively Again, I am not blaming her.
