There is a key. If the family has good communications, then probably a court would not have to be involved. But in far too many instances the family does not.
My cousin was molested by an uncle. Her mother refused to believe it so it did not stop. She got pregnant. Her mother kicked her out. She died coming back from Mexico after getting a back ally abortion. Now, this was 1957 and things were different then, but not a lot.

Insane. Killing an unborn baby for the sake of convenience is not "health care", it's killing. Abortion is not mentioned in the U.S. Constitution and is therefore not a federally-protected "right". Anything not specifically mentioned in the U.S. Constitution is the business of the several states.
