Great story, I bet he got to see a lot of good games. Interesting spot to live though, I know when I was homeless after seperation I stayed in a grave yard in one of the older sights where there was about a 4’ wall and the grave stones were towers. I hid their from society and felt it to be safer than the homeless shelter I had wondered to. I get the struggle of not being able to acclimate right away, I didn’t do so well being thrown back into the world of civilians.
I surprised at how many of the homeless were veterans though. I learned a lot, their was even one from a war where he bore many scars. He would never say but they all made it their point to keep an eye on me and make sure I was safe and educate me on the “Under Ground” of life.
I was only homeless for three months before my former station commander found me and took me in. She helped me get back on my feet and I was able to do ok. Being homeless definitely doesn’t cross your mind when your getting out.
Thank for the share
