Getting the scoop in the digital age has led to many more incomplete stories than ever; add the new trend of uber-biased journalism and it makes for a mess. Thanks for posting

As a guy who spent much of his military career working with the press, and as a guy who still does work with them, I would say this article has political leanings no different than the leanings the author accuses the MSM of. If a person wants to be informed, they should not rely on the news. As we've learned over the years, the media serves an agenda, left or right and sometimes, if you're lucky, right down the middle. Overwhelmingly though, the personal bias of reporters, editors, news directors, what have you, cloud the coverage of an event/topic. Complete stories are rarely told on all sides. Sadly, if you want to be informed, you will have to go directly to the spigot of information and get it directly from the source. Most people don't have the time and energy to do that, so they rely on news outlets and they choose channels/publications/stations that fit their own beliefs. As Walter Lippman noted, and I paraphrase, there are just a few that control the herd and those few determine where the herd goes. Everyone is vying for that opportunity to be the sheepdog, to lead the herd. I would just ignore the news, do your own research, and develop your own conclusions. But I think most will seek out what they want to see/hear anyway, so really, information has become less about educating/informing a person and more about validating one's opinions. Of course, that's my two cents. Haha.
My sympathies. Here's another example of the media getting it right - but not far enough to the right for some of y'all.
