Speaking of Tom Clancy; I question the current operating status from the book publishers regarding an "extremely successful but unfortunately deceased author" is to have another author write a book in almost the same vein using a main character from previous novels, then attaching the deceased author's name along with new author's name in an attempt to continue the success of previous novels. I've noticed too many inconsistencies with respect to syntax, scene setting, story telling, etc. for this to be continued. The new authors do not have the same "chops" to make it work very well. Post death "Clancy" novels are exhibiting many signs of this, as well as other authors such as Vince Flynn's "Mitch Rapp" novels. Why cannot the publishers just let the deceased author rest in peace?
