First off my personal experience on the gun range has educated me as to the ability of LEO's to handle firearms. Most should never be around as they are so dang careless and can't hit the side of a barn even if they were locked inside of one.

He shot himself because he violated a very basic safety protocol for gun use. You never sweep the body with the muzzle of your firearm and that is what happened here.

Of course the only Sig I've owned is the Sig P226 S L-1 which I used in competition.
