I think influence artillery sounds rather silly. I had to tease out the two missions of info ops of feeding information to the operators and to the native populace. I am going to make the assumption that it will be difficult to win the info ops war when the natives are hostile to our martial endeavors. Case in point is the Revolutionary War. The Americans won the info ops war as Thomas Paine used his printing press to write articles and books to rally Americans against the British. His writings had a tremendous impact on Americans due to the content and immense distribution. The Americans had another advantage. They often lied or embellished the truth to inflame the country against the British.
