The play by different rules and they play hard

It's in their history to under report bad news and goes way back to the Communist takeover. I believe they regularly underreport their casualties in warfare. Look at the disparity in what was estimated their casualty rate with the war with Vietnam in 1978. Chines said I believe 10,000 Vietnamese said at least 100,000 Chinese dead. I would believe the latter number since back then their Army was on the edge of being obsolete in every respect compared to Vietnam's Army. Even with the high casualty rate they had Vietnam suing for peace because of the sheer numbers of Chinese troops meant defeat at some point for Vietnam.
