If there is one thing we can count on, the appeasers in office will do just that. Iran is best contained by pressure not purchase.

"A payout of roughly that amount did come from the U.S. treasury. It was to pay an old IOU.
In the 1970s, Iran paid the U.S. $400 million for military equipment that was never delivered because the government was overthrown and diplomatic relations ruptured. After the nuclear deal, the U.S. and Iran announced they had settled the matter..."

AP FACT CHECK: Trump's mistold tale of Obama and Iran
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Monday assailed the Obama administration for being hoodwinked by Iran, making his case with a frequently told and false story about the U.S. giving...

LTC Eugene Chu - Nice try, but CASH is used to finance terrorism, drug trafficking, etc. Over the years I'm sure they came up with plausible sounding reasons, but the cash is a problem they cannot get around. The Iranians saw John Kerry coming and fucked him every which way they felt like.

Well lets see let's start by sending them another 10 or 12 billion in cash so they can finance more terror groups against neighboring countries they don't like.

LTC Eugene Chu - Yes, we all know about the "release of impounded funds." And yes, of course AP claim it was "mischaracterized". I don't agree with the AP "fact checkers". It's their opinion against mine. I'm sure you'll weight theirs higher than mine. Go ahead. Doesn't bother me. The "fact" is that President Obama didn't have to release those funds. Several President ahead of him didn't see fit to release them. So, the question is, why did he choose to release them? Out of the goodness of his heart or because he expected a quid pro quo? If a quid pro quo, what was he expecting? We may never know (unless, of course, you choose to believe him - I don't). More importantly, what did we actually get by virtue of his "generosity"? We got Americans killed...
