I posted my response on another thread also.. so here is the answer I gave: They have caved to the politics and political left.. There was no threat of insurrection or to the Constitution and they know it.

A lot of people were at that protest as IS THEIR FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHT. And then a group of criminals crossed the line and initiated some violence but nothing even close to what would even be close to being called insurrection, and those that did cross the line should be punished for it..

But for these military so called leaders to make such a political statement is against EVERYTHING we are taught and take an oath to and stand for.

The so called command figures broke the number one rule.. DO NOT ENGAGE IN POLITICAL DISCOURSE, COMMENT POLITICALLY, EXPRESS OPINION OR TAKE ANY SIDES POLITICALLY WHILE YOU ARE IN UNIFORM OR ACTING IN AN OFFICIAL CAPACITY..

ALL of them that signed that letter should resign immediately because they have disgraced their uniforms and all the rest of us who have and do serve.

I am sick and tired of what is happening and when I see those in so called command pull a STUNT like this, it is time the rest of us DEMAND THEY RESIGN.

BTW, tomorrow MY SIGNED letter goes to the Joint Chiefs, which of course has my real identity on it.. THAT's how much I believe in the Constitution and what I was taught as a military man, about being apolitical, and upholding our honor....
