PO3 Phyllis Maynard I'm seeing it here all night I haven't slept. I wanted to keep my eyes on the house an Senate to sleep peacefully but I have to go to work at 7. The house an Senate certified Joe. Trumped swallowed his pride an agreed to a peaceful transition after the Senate confirmed Joe. It's done but things will get interesting from now until 12 noon on January 20th. I hope people can put the evil hate behind them of tribal politics an come together even if they don't like it.

If you haven't been to the National Capitol in the last 3-4 years, it is wide open to the public even when the Congress is in session. Going in via the Vistors Center is largely the encouraged way to enter but it is not the only way to enter the building. Even while on a tour you can fall behind the tour your on and wonder the building to an extent. They have roving plains clothes people to catch stragglers but not enough. Security was pretty crappy when I visited. Also you can walk right into the Senate and Congressional office buildings, they have one person sitting at a desk like the National Capitol does at every entrance and they only eyeball you over they do not stop you from making it to a Senators or Representatives Office. At a Senators or Representatives office again no security guard outside..........you just walk right in to the receptionist. I can see how this happened with the Security that was in place during my last visit. So maybe they will tighten up security a little more now.
