Unless it destortyed his inability to recognize what he was doing as a crine it is no excuse at all, That is why the insanity defense almost never works

I really doubt that PTSD caused him to commit mass murder, otherwise we would have had a trail of such events from the Civil wear onward,

Stop with this crap of every soldier had Ptsd excuse.please!! You killed innocent people and wounded another for no reason.why a bowling alley? What movie theater ? why and how did you get a weapon with PTSD?

PTSD has largely been shown to not induce violent behavior and those with the condition really should not be prohibited access to firearms. If PTSD makes the list of conditions that cannot shoot and enjoy firearms the list of people seeking treatment will go down.
