Pentagon ‘delays’ Biden transition briefings

The Pentagon has ordered a halt to briefings for the transition team of president-elect Joe Biden, according to reports.
Quoting senior administration officials, Axios reported that acting defence secretary Chris Miller ordered the Pentagon-wide pause on cooperation with the incoming Biden administration in a move that has stunned leadership.
Mr Miller, who was appointed to replace former defence secretary Mark Esper in the immediate aftermath of the election, reportedly issued the order throughout the building to cancel scheduled meetings on Thursday night.
A senior Defence Department official told Axios it was a “simple delay of the last few scheduled meetings until after the new year”.

I mean...it's that time of year when things slow down. I'm not sure if the Pentagon does "half days" but this next two weeks that's how it is in regular units.

"These same senior leaders needed to do their day jobs and were being consumed by transition activities ... With the holidays, we are taking a knee for two weeks. We are still committed to a productive transition.""

The country is under attack and we have a new incoming president and team who need these briefings. You can rest all you want after the new President takes office as you will be pounding the streets.

SGT (Join to see) Do you want them to do it right or not at all? Because I'd rather not have burned out people.
Idk if they have half days. But if they can't do mission because of 20+ briefings a day, that's also an issue. There's still time to transition after the holiday.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff They never had problems before but now they do. All I can say is if they can't handle the job then they need to find another one.
