South of Rostov is in close enough proximity to Ukraine to make one wonder if they might have been involved. If so, this is a REALLY big deal.

The article mentioned that the particular aircraft was in a maintenance evolution when the theft occurred. Perfect time for thievery-- when the aircraft is usually in pieces being inspected and/or repaired. If you've ever been part of, or seen a CH-47 400 hour phase maintenance, you know what I'm talking about.
The headline makes it seem like some guys just walked onto a secure military facility that houses Russia's most secret aircraft, broke into said aircraft, and walked off with critical/classified tech. I know media lives and dies on drama, but come on...
