This issue is bigger than “The Hood”, it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
However, with the understanding that I’m unaware of many of the details (and don’t want to know them)... how comes the Corps commander is unscratched? I’ll be honest, I did not followed the whole Ft Hood situation on its entirely. But as the III Corps and Ft Hood CG , he ought to come back, not VTC, once or twice to shake things up and squeeze a few necks as he saw things falling apart. My opinion, but what do I know?

If the Secretary of the Army really believes this issue is relegated to the Fort Hood footprint, he's naive. Fort Hood stands out as a hotspot simply because it is the largest CONUS installation, housing far more service members than most, if not all, other posts. But if one is being honest about the situation, leadership across the board has been a giant, cesspool for ages, and the good ol' boy system--which includes officers as well as NCOs--works overtime to keep the worst one's in their leadership positions. For Christ's sake, we had a 1SG return from Iraq, whoop his girlfriend--who happened to be another NCO in the unit who received preferential treatment while in Iraq because, well, she was screwing the Top--disappear for a week, return, and not only did he not face any kind of punishment, this idiot was sent almost immediately to the Sergeant Major Academy. He ended up getting promoted, too. It's ridiculous! This is only one example!
