Many, many people fought on his behalf in a long and arduous campaign to give him the honors he deserved. It was definitely a team effort.

MAJ Ken Landgren
SFC Cashe and 3 of his soldiers were in the burn center at Brooke Army Hospital in San Antonio, TX trying to recover. Asked why he did what he did, he said he did it because the soldiers were too young to meet their maker. After the third soldier died, SFC Cashe also closed his eyes so he could meet his maker as well.
He was the epitome of what is best in a PSG. He was tough, fair, aggressive, trained his men, and loved them. We definitely lost a good one.

I agree that this soldier went above and beyond the call of duty to save his men. It reminds me of the pact we had in Vietnam, We will live together or die together! We were brothers then and will be brothers forever. I pray that this soldiers gets what he deserves for his bravery!! RIP brother, Amen!
