Why were Korean Soldiers so Feared in the Vietnam War ?

The 2d ROK Div. operated just north of my brigade and they had an absolutely fearsome reputation. . . .

The Viet Cong and NVA had good reason to fear the Korean soldiers and experience taught them the Koreans were NOT people to mess with or try to take on, they would lose ! I'm sure glad they were on our side, I wouldn't want to face them in combat, they were VERY effective , They would hit hard and fast and not screw around. i had dealt with Korean Army, White Horse Division in II Corps area then later in I Corp Korean Marines.

Gotta agree on all counts SMSgt. McCarter, and MSgt. Aldi, I worked with them for a couple of weeks near the DMZ.
