My battle buddy, James T. Brown from Biltmore, Maryland was Afro-American. He was our grenadier and was KIA in the Michelin plantation on 26 February 1966. He was a Roman Catholic like I was and and always wore his cross around his neck. James had just turned 19 when he was KIA, a good soldier and friend. To this day, I still think about him and truly miss him. Amen!
