Trump was stupid and completely remiss for eschewing mask wearing. He proved this empirical evidence by getting COVID and infecting the White House. Information is one of the national powers that he used to give the nation his unenlightened advice against mask wearing. To turn the tide we must use strategic messaging to use safe CDC guidelines. Start a national testing program. Quarantine or hospitalize those who are infected. The number of cases are way to large to conduct contact tracing.

Those who think that a country can not prepare properly don't know what they are talking about. Their paradigm is probably the US and its miserable preparation for COVID. In February S Korea planned and executed deploying many testing sites around the country. This helped them identify those infected and facilitated contact tracing.

What did the US do? We kind of tightened up air travel into the US. We dicked around with bad tests in Feburary. Trump kept lying about the threat and stating it was negligible for weeks. He finally called National Emergency on March 13. Then that gave impetus for the federal government to start planning. The analogy I will use is, it is akin to planning in the middle of a war. There is blood on Trumps and his administration's hands for completely fucking up the pandemic preparations.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Yes and the reason is Trump by his lying and inaction allowed the pandemic to enter the country and thrive. He and his administration had no plan until the pandemic was too large to handle. FDR sent to Russian and the UK millions of tons of materials in WWII. Trump could not even deliver PPEs in a timely manner. My left testicle has more common sense and morality than those fake leaders.

Interesting, but there is a problem about Disney and other theme parks in plain site but it is not being reported on in this or most other articles in this vein. Check out the statement extracted from the story below:
But no outbreaks have been reported at Disney, Universal, Sea-World, Busch Gardens, Six Flags, Legoland and Cedar Fair parks in Florida, Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Virginia and Michigan, according to state health agencies and theme park officials.

What it doesn't say in the article and like articles - Are they tracking/tracing the visitors once they get home.

Yes in that contact tracing if you test positive includes your activities, contacts and where you have been.

There is a reason why theme parks are not reporting cases. They put a sign up that said no Covid-19 allowed yo the virus leaves the body and waits outside till their host returns.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Which part? And is Disney doing the contact tracing or is someone else supposedly doing it? Another thing, currently it is almost statistically impossible for someone that went to Disneyland or another theme part to not become infected within two weeks of having been there. And just because they try to do everything correctly does not mean that they were not, are not, or shortly will not become a source point. Look at some of the other situations (not including hospitals) that have done all of the "correct" procedures and processes that have become hot spots. What the key point probably is -they do not have the traffic, and that is alluded to in the last paragraph and sentence in that article. THAT is the difference, not all of the precautions that they have taken.

Some of us did not fall off the turnip truck yesterday.

I'll disagree with you that the election is over. However, regarding COVID19. There is no way to stop it. You can't control a virus. It will be with us just like the flu. Just look at Italy. They did everything to "control" the virus, yet it still failed. The media has hyped this out of control just like they do everything else. Time to rip the band aid off and reopen the country.

I'll disagree that they did everything to "control" it. They did some things but failed to follow through for long enough and your rip the bandaid off and reopen the country attitude is exactly why. Oh and you can control a virus; polio is a virus, HIV is a virus, chicken pox is a virus, measles is a virus.............
