Caregivers of older veterans can apply for financial assistance from VA starting today

Great news! The Department of Veterans Affairs announced that caregivers of elderly veterans who have previously gone without financial assistance are now eligible to receive stipends through a change in the Mission Act.

“Caregivers provide stability and security to our most vulnerable veterans [...] Through this expansion, VA is able to give more family caregivers access to essential resources so we can support them as they care for veterans of earlier eras.” - VA Sec. Robert Wilkie
