Context matters. Given the political nature of our nation right now I highly doubt he'll get a slap on the wrist. Change commands, sure. Learn from it and move on. But I don't think he should be forced retired or anything.

As a Black soldier, it's one of those things were you have to be cognizant. I cannot listen to music that says a word that I wouldn't want someone else saying. That's just retarded. Secondly, there's a big difference from singing a long to a song and saying that towards someone. I get it, as a leader especially a general he should've known better, but this sounds like one of those set ups to me.

Again it's all about context, did he call a Marine that or sung along to the same words they were? Can't get mad at him for doing exactly what you're doing. Obvious lesson learned would be to say no profane music in unit areas, we all know that won't be enforced force wide.
