Back in the day the number of female drills was extremely low.

The female DIs ran the female platoons in their own Battalion at Parris Island (4th BN). Male recruits rarely even saw female recruits or female DIs--if they happened to be in the same area for training or going past the 4th BN area for some reason.

That’s just funny. But when I was a drill at Ft Dix I trained 9 cycles of all females. Only 1 time was there even a female drill. And she got relieved when I caught her in bed with a female hold over.
