An interesting proposition. If the best are selected good, but what if the results end up similar to what already happens?

We all saw this coming. I wonder though, if those in disadvantaged upbringings are going to find themselves similarly disadvantaged when only the DOD# identifies the soldier's packet, and then cry social injustices all over again.

Nepotism is everywhere. It is the "least" in the military, but that doesn't mean things can't change (I"m not saying it's not there, it's just worse everywhere else). I don't think the Army says it wants merit based. The Army doesn't want things blowing back on them. So it's removing identifying factors and gender factors (ACFT and MOS based standards not Gender or Age specific), which are going to play well to those with stronger physical strength (males) and the educated (those with better economic standing).
