If she was that worried about having a liberal President pick her successor, really makes you wonder how "impartial" she was... this was all on her. She should have retired under Obama, when she still couldn't stay awake during the SOTU speech.

Great visual! I just had the sudden picture of the aisle splitting the right a$$ cheek from the left a$$ cheek...

Bottom line up front, POTUS has an obligation to nominate someone, The Senate majority can stonewall or vote. My view is this, RGB's health was not something that was hidden, the entire country knew in the 2018 election that there was a real possibility she wouldn't make it, the people of the United States not only voted to keep the republicans in the majority in the Senate, they added to that majority. As someone so famously and glibly stated, elections have consequences, and another famously warned when the Democrats changed the rules to break a filibuster, the time will come when you regret this. The democrats always want to change the rules, when they are on the losing side of the very rules they changed. Now there is talk about stacking the court, possible impeachment, and violence. A very prominent news media anchor said to burn the entire system, other blue check marked personalities have taken to twitter with the same sentiments, inciting sedition. They lose a national election, well, lets get rid of the electoral college, they fail to gain the majority in the senate, well, now lets reform the senate, They do not like that SCOTUS is going to be a conservative majority, well, lets just put more justices so we can have the majority, this is on top of their stated platform of regulating peoples speech, gaslighting the people regarding rifles, while never mentioning illegal handguns in inner urban areas, attacking everyone that does not agree fully with their views as racists, bigots, phobes, nazi's fascists, to name just a few things. a lot of people are saying that Trump is ruining our republic, but what I see, is this. The democratic party is openly telling you that they WILL ruin our republic, by criminalizing peoples thoughts, speech and views. By further restricting our right to bear arms, by trying to change our very form of government, to better suit their agenda. I oppose this. If the Senate does not vote to confirm, the republicans will lose my vote. I voted specifically for this eventuality.
