Not sure why they're giving so much credit to Trump concerning the economy. He's been far less responsible for the good pre-covid economy than he brags about being (see https://voxeu.org/article/stable-genius-estimating-trump-effect-us-economy and https://www.aei.org/op-eds/the-economy-is-not-trumps-strong-suit/), and his lack of action during the pandemic is making it impossible for the economy to meaningfully recover.
Stable genius: Estimating the 'Trump effect' on the US economy | VOX, CEPR Policy Portal
Growth and employment in the US have been robust over the past 18 months, and President Trump frequently takes personal credit for these trends. This column explores how the US economy would have evolved without Trump. An analysis shows no difference between the post-election performance of the US economy under Trump and a synthetic ‘doppelganger’ US economy without Trump,

James Anders - first, it is Vox you are using as a reference. About as left leaning as you can get without being out of the ball park. Can't tell how far right the group is that wrote the article I posted as this is the first of seen of them.
Lack of action during the pandemic?! Really?! What is he supposed to do? Close ingress from China - YOU BIGOTED XENOPHOBIC RACIST. Declare an emergency - Nancy assured us going to China Town was perfectly OK. Let the Governors decide how best to handle it for their states - well New York has nearly 40% of the TOTAL Covid deaths. He did everything per the book and y'all still yell and scream he did not "do enough". So, please tell me - WHAT IS ENOUGH? Seriously! What. Is. Enough?
Yes, he inherited an economy that was growing. The point though is he has kept it going in an upward direction until Covid hit. Even then, the predictions for a full blown depression have not yet materialized.

SSgt (Join to see) - I think you've confused Vox, the news source, with VoxEU, which is the website run by the Centre for Economic Policy Research (a very reputable source). These two sources are not comparable at all.
The least that President Trump could've done is roll out a national testing program so that the country can find + isolate infected people as effectively as possible. This is something within the President's power - see https://www.aei.org/economics/federal-passivity-wont-reopen-the-economy/. Except, clearly, he hasn't done that. And his travel bans were nowhere near sufficient - see https://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/homeland-security/488167-travel-bans-cant-stop-this-pandemic and https://www.medpagetoday.com/publichealthpolicy/healthpolicy/84764. In fact, considering how little Trump has done besides implementing these travel bans, I would go as far as saying that the bans *were* xenophobic. It's like Trump and his base were thinking "as long as we keep the outsiders out, we'll be totally safe from this virus and there's nothing more that we need to do."

LCpl Leo Morrissey - I'm from a military family and wish to work in defense in the future (can't join the military because I'm medically disqualified). So someone recommended that I check out Rallypoint. I'm not gonna say more, because I don't think you're interested in a mature discussion.
