I would be impressed if it was so much better than the F15 or F22 that warrants its cost. I would much rather we buy more of those planes and upgrade than what this thing has cost. Combined with pilot training and upgrades, we do not need the 35 to hang with other countries.

MAJ Byron Oyler - Yeah it's an apex moment of stupidity when an $80 million fighter can't sustain Mach 1. I hope the F-35 will have something up its sleeve as it encounters enemy fighters that can sustain Mach 2.
