The military often puts leaders in moral dilemmas. Leaders are told to put 100 pounds of shit in a 40 lbs. bag and report everything is well. The CG wants a 90% OR rate and will get his 90%.

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - In the late 90s the army gave early outs to field grade officers I noticed that many West Point LTs got out. I had theorized that they were disenchanted with that moral dilemma and PowerPoint.

MAJ Ken Landgren have no doubt you surmised correctly. PowerPoint should be banned. I was enlisted from late '69 to early '79 and retired as a BZ major in September '91 after waiving attendance at CGSC. I did that because Armor Branch told me I not be competitive for battalion command. The reason? Because I was 40 when I made O-4. . . .
