Very good read on Taiwan. I might disagree with the M1AT discussion -- they needed them and to get rid of the ancient M60s they had. Hard to beat an M1 series tank when it comes to a counterattack force. Article misses the real issue -- its not the size of the roads - its the weight limit on most bridges that is the critical factor. Take it from the guy who took an M1A1 across a 500 year old 35 ton limit bridge and cracked the bridge..... weight factors are important. (Reforger 88).

One of the best ones have seen in a while - and think the TW know there is a focus on getting their reserve to be reformed. I like the Territorial approach much more that a National Guard approach - it really could be an item that brings on change.
