Interesting read, if nations are able to bolster their stockpiles and secure logistics, I think the effects of corona on the treatment of other diseases may be limited

The spread and the cure shows the glaring gaps in globalism. Each nation needs to have the ability to be sustainable during these global crises. Manufacturing, food production, and other industries should never be moved offshore to accomodate a few multinational corporations.
There is no reason that goods and services themselves can't be sold overseas while destroyong jobs domestically. I understand the logistics of manufacturing to consumers in faraway lands, but destroying local economies by moving all manufacturing offshore for larger profit margins that benefit a few makes one wonder, why aren't the people's representatives in Congress squashing the multinational monopolies.

Cpl (Join to see) ALEC was a big reason on why politicians would go out of their way to support profiteering. I believe they are some politicians that actually care and could do right, but party lines and all the Dem/Rep, donor bullshit gets in the way.
I fully agree with you, it's fine to be able to have good exports, but nations or at least neighboring nations should be able to be as self sustainable as possible in all the categories you mentioned. Hopefully we as a human race will learn from this pandemic.

SSG (Join to see) Party lines aren't really the issue, in my opinion, it's longevity. Career criminals, err politicians of all stripes have grown too comfortable. I don't care what party someone aligns themselves with, both left and right need to come together and end the idea of permanence and dynasties in the legislature. #TermLimits

Cpl (Join to see) You make an excellent point. If a politician can't accomplish their goal within idk let's be nice and say 8 years, they aren't doing something right. I'm all for term limits

Too bad Covid wasn’t worth all the extreme measures, spending and loss of cultural interactions. But as a weapon to disrupt the nations, especially the western countries, its working marvelously.
