SPC (Join to see) - Lies by omission, quotes out of context, 5 second of video's, word choices, all designed to manipulate perception. To put it into perspective, "undocumented immigrants", " Mostly peaceful protestors" , "Good people on both sides" , "Latin Americans/Hispanics are animals" - these out of context quotes, and word choices , all done by design to manipulate public perception. Just to be clear, all media does this, I am just naming 4 off the top of my head, there is plenty more to support my statement.

SSG Robert Perrotto I’m not arguing that. I agree on bias being present. I’m just saying that, I believe, “fake news” should be used for purposefully false information. Using it too loosely takes away its effect. Because, the way you are using it, it comes across as being that *all* news is fake news. In which case, the word loses all meaning

SPC (Join to see) - what do you call a story that doesn't present the whole truth?

News. How do you measure the “whole truth?” If a politician gives a speech, does the entire speech need to be copied verbatim? Otherwise there will be omission. If an event happens, like what is happening in Portland, how does one cover it? Is it a protest? A riot? Whatever language used will be biased.
If what is being reported happened then it is news. Will it be biased? Yes. Everything in life is. If it didn’t happen? Then it is fake news.
“There are peaceful protests happening in Portland.” - News
“There are riots happening in Portland.” - News
“Hundreds have been gunned down by Alaskan Rebels. Our lizard overlords staged the unrest to cover the truth.” - Fake News.
