The Wagner Group: Russia's Blackwater

By a quick scan I surmise the Wagner Group's primary mission is to protect commercial interests which are primarily comprised of oil and minerals. However, the war in the Ukraine is an example of Russia's imperialism. Ukraine was desperate for the funds Trump withheld because they wanted certain weapons like anti-tank missiles to fight Russian armor.

The US is keenly watching what transpires in the war. The Russians are using a full spectrum of operations against the Ukraine: Insurgents, Special Forces, and Conventional Forces. I wish I knew more about Ukrainian tactics. I assume the Ukrainians do not want to commit to decisive battles and will use asymmetric attacks against the Russians.
