Vanessa Guillén death: army 'following own agenda' in investigation, says sister

Mayra Guillén has said she believes the US army is “following their own agenda” as it investigates the circumstances that led to the death of her sister, Vanessa Guillén, the young Fort Hood soldier whose killing has sent shock waves across the country.
Vanessa Guillén, 20, disappeared from the military base on 22 April, prompting a protracted search that ended with the discovery of her remains on 30 June.
The army specialist Aaron David Robinson, a suspect under watch, escaped from Fort Hood later that day and died by suicide as law enforcement closed in. His girlfriend, Cecily Aguilar, a civilian, was taken into custody and has been accused of helping Robinson dispose of Guillén’s body after he bludgeoned her. Aguilar pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to tamper with evidence and was denied bail earlier this month.

This sadly bears resemblance to another case. Way back in 2007, a female junior enlisted Marine who was murdered by a fellow Marine that she personally knew

So sad. I'm glad though it looks more and more likely that it wasn't SHARP related as well. The comments and speculation were so annoying. May she rest in peace. So sad.

No one knows what led to it. The Army is telling her family that Vanessa saw a picture of his girlfriend on his phone, knew she's married and threatened to report him. So he bludgeoned her...
They don't believe that story. Nor do I. That's really a big leap for someone to bludgeon someone they barely work with over that. Also her family said she wouldn't have ever said or done that anyway.
It's very possible it is related to sexual harassment or sexual assault - and that more people are involved. I don't think we'll ever know the truth.
