McKesson is seeking a dynamic and motivated Maintenance Technician in our distribution center (DC) located in Ruther Glen, VA area.
Schedule: Full Time Nights: Sunday-Thursday: 7pm-3:30am (OT may be required)
Position Description:
Successful candidates will be well-rounded in electrical, mechanical & automation skills, troubleshooting, repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex industrial facility systems. As well as being a safety-focused individual who enjoys being part of a team. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to lead and train other team members.
The Maintenance Technician (“Facilities Assistant”) position responsibilities will involve:
Demonstrate skills in all phases of facility maintenance including electrical troubleshooting.
Preventative Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair a wide variety of challenging electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center environment. Primarily automated MDR conveyors systems.
Provide electrical, mechanical, & automation support for all facility systems & equipment including but not limited to conveyors (IntelliQ), ASRS, spiral conveyors (Ambaflex) freezers, coolers, HVAC (Carrier), air compressors (Keaser), generators (Caterpillar), printers, strappers (Mosca MP-6), belt extenders (Ajustoveyor), dock lifts, lift trucks (Crown), battery inter-changer (BHS), bailers, compactors, fire protection, electrical breakers and other automated technologies.
Excellent understanding of systems including transformers, generators, switchgear,
AC/DC drives, UPS & LED lighting.
Knowledge and understanding of motor starting circuits and power distribution circuits.
Ability to read ladder logic, download and upload PLC programs, and troubleshoot PLC functions.
Ability to identify worn or damaged parts and to replace them.
Self-starter in new equipment learning, training & ability to lead preventative maintenance efforts.
Manage and maintain spare parts inventory.
Perform safety and security checks.
Communicate with and maintain effective relationships with service contractors & vendors.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years facilities engineering and troubleshooting experience, including knowledge of industrial/warehouse machinery or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center environment.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
